Dancers are placed by level, not only by age. Chané watches every new dancer at their free trial and recommends where they'll thrive.

Grades 5–9 are IDF exam grades · Tap Silver is an IDF medal level.

Chané Venter
Founder & principal teacher
“I fell in love with dance at the age of four — every class I teach is built to pass that feeling on.”
Chané trained through Hoërskool Wonderboom's dance programme, danced freestyle at the Beverly Hammond School and taught at Artistiq Dance Studio under the Independent Dance Federation before founding Diamond Dance. Her classes are small, structured and warm — led by someone who still remembers being the student at the back of the room.

Your dancer joins a regular class at their likely level. Afterwards Chané recommends the right level and style, and you decide whether to enrol — no obligation and no payment.
What age can my child start?
We teach from age 4 all the way through to adults. Complete beginners are welcome at every level. Private classes are available on request. See the age groups.
Can parents watch?
You're welcome to watch the free trial. Regular classes are parent-free so dancers can focus, with open-class viewing at the end of each term.
What if we miss a class?
Let us know beforehand and your dancer can catch up in a class at the same level that week, where there's space. Fees aren't refunded for missed classes.
Can we cancel or take a break?
You can leave at any time with one full calendar month's written notice by email or WhatsApp. The month after your notice is still payable. Enrolment can't be paused, except for a medical absence of 4 weeks or more with a doctor's note. See our Terms & Conditions.
What should they wear?
Comfortable, fitted clothing they can move in, hair tied back and a water bottle. Sneakers are fine for hip-hop. Shoe and uniform details are shared when you enrol.
Are there exams?
Graded dancers can take Independent Dance Federation exams to mark their progress. Exams are optional, and entry costs are shared well before each exam session.
How do fees work?
An R400 registration fee per dancer each year, then R350, R450 or R500 a month depending on how many styles your dancer takes. Compare packages.
